Isnt it amazing how someone can live life with such passion and motivation, whilst still having so many set backs in his life. The man has truely inspiredme and many others all over the world and I just wanted to share this mans journey with you. Many of you may have watched the Ice Man on Channel 4 the other night, but for those of you that were not able to, I will give you a brief introduction. The Ice Man – Wim Hof – is a man also known for having developed an ability to resist sub zero temperatures. He has produced some astonishing feats of swimming under ice, standing in bins filled with ice, and also climbing the Mt. Blanc in shorts in the icy cold, but his latest challenge is running a 26 mile marathon in freezing winter temperatures all while having done no physical training. He completed this in as little as five and a half hours. I recently had a session with a client, helping them to overcome a limiting decission and belief. Now beliefs limit us all the time and in many different areas of our life and we want to create a compelling belief so that we can take action to achieve the results we want in our lives. The session was a mixture of NLP, Hypnotherapy and Time Line Therapy integration. Hypnotherapy was used to start of the session, installing all presuppositions about all the changes that will be hapen during the session. The session was then taken into a long session of time line therapy, removing all major negative emotions. Now during time line therapy, there were many learnings that have appeared that i see as some fantastic learnings and metaphors for life. Our ability to create change is our ability to expand and learn, whether it were to be in your business or your personal life. Its our ability to make decisions to reach our desired goals or outcome. So why could we want to change…? As our environment and our surroundings change around us we have a need to adapt and respond accordingly. Though sometimes our desire to change is our desire to move away from the pain in our lives or move into pleasure. In order to change we need to change our pattern of behaviour and focus on a new one. There are many reasons for us to not make changes in our lives and the main reason is that we will link to much pain to changes than we do staying the same, and therefore we will need to change our associations to these events.
